STICKY FINGERS OPENS ITS THIRD CHATTANOOGA RESTAURANT
August 10, 2007 | CHARLESTON, SC, Aug. 10, 2007 - Due to hometown demand for its Memphis-style, hickory-smoked ribs, chicken, barbecue and wings, Sticky Fingers has opened its third Chattanooga-area restaurant in Hixson. The new Sticky Fingers joins locations in Jack’s Alley downtown and Hamilton Place Mall, two of the most popular restaurants founded by Chattanooga natives and Baylor School alums Todd Eischeid, Jeff Goldstein and Chad Walldorf. After years of Chattanoogans asking for a Hixson location, Sticky Fingers has set up its slow-smoking pits at 5437 Highway 153. The building, which formerly housed the popular Brick Oven Grill, has undergone an extensive renovation over the past six months.“Nothing’s more flattering than requests from our hometown fans,” said co-owner Todd Eischeid.. “After hearing so many people suggest the Hixson area and finally finding the right location, we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. And my parents are excited we have another reason to come home.”Chad added only half-jokingly, “The number one reason we opened in Hixson? My mom works there and has been telling me for years that she we should. A boy can only say no to his mom so many times.”This location is a true family affair as Chad’s dad, local Realtor Rudy Walldorf, negotiated the purchase of the building. And another Chattanoogan, Rob Coburn, worked his way up from being a cook at the Hamilton Place Sticky Fingers to being named Operating Partner of the new Hixson location. “He’s excited to have the opportunity to run his own restaurant,” said Walldorf. “I’d encourage folks to ask for Rob when you go because he's anxious to get to meet everyone on the Hixson side of town.”With the Hixson opening, Sticky Fingers has grown to 19 locations in the Southeast – three in Chattanooga, 12 in the Carolinas, two in Florida and two in Georgia. The success of Sticky Fingers restaurants has generated successful catering, mail order and wholesale barbecue sauce businesses. For Sticky Fingers locations, menu, takeout, catering menus, sauces, mail order packages, recipes and more, visit www.stickyfingers.com.# # #
